Of course since it was Mother’s Day this past weekend I needed to make a beautiful, chic look for people that love their mother. As some of you may know I usually add a lot of color when it comes to a makeup look. Today is different because I think that although a bold blue or purple smoky eye is nice. In reality the nudes are easier to pull off on a everyday look.
Where should I begin? I will say this is definitely new for me. I always try to give not just one type of look but several looks for a range of occasions. Lets start with the Make Up For Ever and use the powder Star Lit Diamond #103. I saw this in the crease of the eyes. A little goes a long way (tip: wet your brush a little to bring out pigment). I thought of a Nars Pure Pop Single Eyeshadow called ‘Pursia’ and Pat McGrath Eyedol eyeshadow ‘Corrupt Copper’ to bring out the eyes. I choose orange pantone eye pigments to do this because even though it falls under the netrual brown and beige undertones I feel the eyes are the first thing a person sees. The cheeks were the perfect place to add the Nars Duo blush and highlighter set coupled with the option of adding a Milk Makeup highlighter. Choices are important in beauty to me because it really depends if you want bold glam or natural glam on the cheeks. The brushes used for all of these products were IT mini 5 travel set. The last thing is classic tinted peachy Nars Audacious Lipstick called Brigitte as a base then add a brown relish pigment from. Glossier Play in Pony.
Finally I can talk about my favorite things, the accessories that make this fit blend all together. Hot pink is one of my favorite colors and I wanted to use the YSL Lou Lou Monogram Bag. Coupled with a Chic and classy pearl hair clip by Jennifer Behr and a diamond shaped Amber Sceat earrings. Chic and tastful are the two words I would say to describe this look because it uses netral colors with a twist . A tastefully done look that can look great on anyone.
