For Chen Peng RTW Fall 23 collection, I saw the revamping of the traditional black puffer jacket. The silhouette shifted, and became more about dresses and tracksuits.
A few of the designs that stood out were star-design jackets, rose design ponchos and puffers with black corset details. The achromatic color palette of different blacks and grays made all the 3-dimensional shapes and reflective pieces pop. The show’s focused on two different looks evening wear and ready-to-wear , showing a range of options. I can see a few of the items featured in an everyday wardrobe and also loved the formal detailed dresses which appeared to be more editorial.
The different patterns from the quilted material redesign to the traditional black puffer make the looks complete. The unique take on outerwear piece inspires me to want to see more from Chen Peng.
